H: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2022 A-Z)

Prisoner of Azkaban
The wind lashes around me as I run. My heart pounding in my chest, I gasp for breath. The happy images hit me with a force. They swim in front of my eyes – my brother and I at our picnic out in the backyard, I see him throw his head back and laugh, his hair falling over his face. Then it starts to fade. And I finally feel the dementor’s rotten skeletal claw clench my arm.
THWACK! The punch to my head jolts me awake.
“Enough of your screaming, bro! Stop this Harry Potter dementor nonsense and let me sleep!”
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban was my favourite of the series, and a great fantasy fiction series it was! Read those long back, as and when they were released. Though I must admit, I have only read five of the seven books. Books 6 and 7 are pending. And read those – I will. And of course, the fantasy fiction TBR also includes Lord of the Rings and Hobbit. What about you? What is the one fantasy fiction you recommend?
I have written this 100-word flash fiction for the 2022 Edition of the Blogging A-Z Challenge, a blogging event held every April. Click here to read more on the challenge! My chosen theme for this year is flash fiction driven book recommendations. Even if you aren’t a book reader, you might enjoy the flash fiction. This is one of the books from your challenge, which I have read the others are Animal Farm, Kite Runner and some books by Enid Blyton. The Oxford Dictionary is my go-to reference book rather than looking online, but your story for it went over my head, Deepa! Great idea for the challenge.Visiting back from the Road Trip.
TPOA is my favourite of the HP series too. The one fantasy book I always recommend to everyone is Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor. It’s beautiful beyond words.
I L.O.V.E fiction Eragon is one which I liked apart from all being discussed below…. 😁😁😁😁
I feel reading huge fiction books is a waste of time especially when you have good movie adaptations. Read non fiction of a wider range instead.
I have watched the Prisoner of Azkaban n number of times as we had a VCD of the same. It’s my favorite amongst the series. Great analysis by u 👏 👍 👌 Deepa
THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE TWO TOWERS is unsurpassable for me as far as Fantasy fiction goes. 👍👍👍
This book was my favourite too because I ended up loving Sirius!
Book 6 and 7 are reallly good! You should definitely read them asap!
I’m yet to read the LOTR series as well.. but I have read they are very very detailed so I think I’ll just watch the movies!
I also have to read the Hunger Games series!

Not sure why but never felt like reading the series but my LO has already finished 3 of them.
I’m not super invested in Harry Potter – but since you’ve already gotten to book 5, you might as well just finish the series so you know how it ends. Though, I mean, it’s old enough that there are spoilers everywhere.
You must finish them up quick. 😄 I also love the inheritance cycle(it’s about a dragon rider), the writing is not very mature about the story is amazing. Also there is an alchemist series, again maybe not written as well as the Harry Potter series, but entertaining when you don’t want to read something heavy
I loved the HP books. I’ve read all them more times than I’d like to admit. And mind you, I was already an adult when all the books were published. But now I enjoy them even more because my niece has been reading them and gave her my collection. I love how excited she gets discussing what’s going on in the books. And them begging me to tell her what’s going to happen next and then changes here mind wants to be surprised.
The Broken Earth trilogy by NK Jemisin.

I’ve read all the Harry Potter books and quite enjoyed them. I initially read them because I wanted to know what my nieces were getting so excited about. I prefer the books to the films.
Chronicles of Narnia. I have read the entire series at least once a year since I was in my teens. This year I am listening to them as a change of pace but as I’m already on the 6th one, I may end up reading them as well.
Agreed. 5 is probably my favorite, too. But you MUST finish the series! So many great quotes from those have become pop culture commonalities now, either you know the end, or you may be confused by memes you see, and missing other mentions.
(p.s. I fixed the “subscribe” button on my blog.)

One of my favorite Harry Potter books… Dementors have that effect on you… lol.
I loved reading Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and The Hobbit. I am currently reading “The Sorcerer’s Daughter” by Terry Brooks. It is the third book in a trilogy that is part of a larger overall Shannara Series. I would recommend an epic fantasy book from this series.

Rick Riordan s Percy Jackson series…. they are cool ( the books, definitely not the movies) i have read the Harry Potter series twice and my last A to Z series was based on HP… i got the whole set last month and my kids are hooked to it … i love Harry Potter
I love the Harry Potter series. Absolutely love. I can’t wait for my daughter to grow up a bit so we can together watch the movie and read the books. Though I was too tempted to show her the movie and we did watch the first one, of course while forwarding the scary parts inappropriate for her age.
See you around the A-Z challenge!

What a craze for Harry Potter… how can we forget
Finally a book I kno. 🙂
I may have read all 7 books multiple times. Though 8th was a disappointment. I grew iwth books and movies so very close to my heart
Azkaban is most fav follower by Goblet of fire
U wrote dementor scene perfectly
Ha ha! An apt finish that left me smiling!
