2021: Blogging A-Z Challenge: Covid Craziness: B

Be still, Grandpa,” said the nurse, checking his vitals.
“Oh pfft, I’m younger than your father,” retorted 86 year old Prakash. From the adjacent beds at the Covid quarantine center, Arun and Rajesh guffawed.

“Quiet, all of you. Time to rest. Get some sleep, grandpas,” she left, admonishing the octogenarian trio.  Exiting the hall, she could hear them snickering. Words like ‘forbidden, sinful, split by 3’ floated out to her, leading her to momentarily pause.
Inside the ward, the three oldies with their dentures happily munched on the forbidden Oreo biscuits Prakash had smuggled in, finding joy in little things.
